There's an entire world covered by a fresh, new blanket, waiting for me to explore! I want to just run out there and enjoy, but it's still kind of dark. I'll wait another ten minutes or so firsts. It feels like the whole world should be celebrating with me and yet as if, were anyone else to stir, it would no longer be my perfect world. Less abstract. I'm so excited, I can't believe my suitemates are sleeping through it. If they were up, however, this wouldn't be "me" time to get all excited in. *whine* I wanna live in snow country...
There's just something innately romantic about snow. Yes, I know the whole "kiss in the rain" thing, but 95 times out of 100, there is absolutely nothing romantic about rain. But snow...snow falls from the sky, frosting the world in a glistening coat, whipping up and coating people as well. Rosey-red cheeks, scarves and gloves, the thought of a warm cup of hot chocolate or a warm meal once inside. Rain can be romantic; snow is romantic. Well, until you heat the sirens rushing off to a snow-caused accident. And I'll be the first to admit that old, half-melted or discolored snow is anything but fun. But, walking in the rain is usually miserable; wandering around in the falling snow is fabulous.
Anyway, when I got back from my 45-minute ramble through the school (taking a few pictures), I tried calling home. No one picked up so I'm assuming my brothers (who found out about their snow day last night as opposed to 6 this morning when my school announced it) are probably still in bed. So I changed out of what clothes I was wearing that were wet (basically, jeans and socks), warmed up a bowl of chili (hey, I was cold, and why is breakfast the only meal to have such strict rules over what you can and can't eat).

Wow. It's been a while. I almost forgot this existed. Been busy with school, but I'd like to try and keep this thing alive so...
Well, let's see, today marked the return of my migraine, therefore, more pills. I'm not sure if the pills make me drowsy/lethargic or if they just don't take care of that aspect of my headaches. But they do really help control the pain and side-effects. No nausea, dizziness and I can almost ignore the throbbing pain in my head it shrinks so much. Gosh, I love my migraine meds!
Today I found myself thinking about Romeo and Juliet for some odd reason. Probably because of the discussion of Shakespeare with younger bro and friend after WinterJam Sunday night. We did all discuss how completely and totally idiotic Romeo and Juliet is. Honestly, I've never met someone who actually read the play that thought it was romantic (one or two english teachers excluded). And even among English teachers, most of them, when they were being tactful, said "Romeo and Juliet is not his best work...". I have found several retellings that are okay, like West Side Story (I mean, Tony's killed by someone else and Maria doesn't shoot herself [although I heard that was the original story]). I can't stand the though of suicide, especially over some crush. And there's no way Romeo and Juliet had more than a crush; love is something that needs to be nurtured, it doesn't just pop up like that and cause everyone to kill themselves. It's not all about you, idiot (to person who wants to suicide).
Speaking of WinterJam, there was a flyer for Creation Fest in the booklet they gave us at the door. I REALLY WANNA GO! I'm 20 already, how much longer is my mom going to say no because I'm too young and might end up forced to do something. I'm dead serious. She won't let me go to a CHRISTIAN music festival in Pennsylvania because she's got a fear like that. She did, on the other hand, allow me to go to beach week after I graduated, which is just an excuse for new graduates to go to the beack and get drunk, high and laid. Yeah. That's tons safer than Creation Fest. Anyway, younger bro is really pushing for that instead of Beack Week; didn't work for me, but if it works for him, I'm tagging along. Going to Creation Fest has been a dream of mine since I accidentally discovered it halfway through my Senior year.
Well, I'm tired, so I guess that's it for today. Catch'ya'll later!

Wow, I've been busy. How many hours has it been? Well, the first batch of cookie dough I made went into the fridge for two hours, came out, was rolled out and clumsily put back together and has been sitting in the fridge for almost two more hours. So, I've been baking cookies almost non-stop for four hours now. blegh. I almost wish I hadn't thought about time. The cookies on the table look pretty pitiful for four hours of almost-straight work...
So, please, someone tell my brother he can't steal someone's name off of facebook as a pen name!
Well, just over a month until my LJ turns 4.
Anyway, I accidetnally ended up studying until 4 this morning (I think I might have dozed off somewhere in there without realizing it). So, I definitally feel like I earned the right to watch a football game today. And then I realized there weren't any good ones on TV. So, I went grocery shopping instead. I bought just enough to hold me over until Friday (I hope).
Speaking of football, Green Bay lost to Houston by three points. I've pretty much given them up as a lost cause. They're not going to the play-offs this year. But Aaron Rogers is still on the "Hot Guy" wall. I'd probably be wearing a Packer t-shirt if they weren't all dirty (well, the jerseys aren't dirty, but the shirt I wear under them is, so it's almost the same thing). Even with them on a losing streak, I found myself on a web-site drooling over some Green Bay zippered hoodies. I think I might spring for one after Christmas. After all, it's not like it won't get used (I practically live in my Harley one most of the time).

My...gosh...I feel like I'm about to die. Woke up this morning with a killer headache and still had to force myself to study for my finals. Luckily, it went away around 6 (usually, they last at least a day).
Other than that, not much going on. Heading home Friday with Marilyn. Yay Marilyn.
I really hope to get some serious writing and make some serious progress on my dragon over break. It is more than a month long, so that doesn't seem incredibly far out of the realm of possibilities.
Anyway, I feel like I reached my goal. I think I managed to do enough studying to take time off for a football game tomorrow. The only problem is, I don't really want to watch any games that are on TV. ...Guess I'll have to put in a movie instead.

Ah! How fleeting is fame. My beautiful roommate posted some pictures of our "Hot Guy" wall on Facebook and I was aghast at how empty it looked. So I decided to get some more faces for it over Thanksgiving break. I was trying to think of a hot guy besides Orlando Bloom and somehow started thinking of my first celebrity crush: Nick Carter. So, I've been trying to find a good picutre of him online from back when he was a Backstreet Boy but they're all much to small for the wall. There are a lot of pictures of him with some spiked do, but I want the old 90s Nick. Anyway, I pretty much exhausted my patience on google and then went to photobucket. I finally just found a good one now.
Now the next question: who else can I put up for a hot guy?!

So, um, I must say, the new title for my journal is a "love at first thought" kind of thing. I might make that my catch-phrase from now on. If I ever get my own TV show, that phrase is going to be worked in somehow.
So, I've been running almost constantly for a while now, but it's almost done. After Thursday, I can take a breath and breaks again, at least until after Thanksgiving. In and among all this chaos that is my life, I've come up with an interesting story idea (although, I'm not going to allow myself to work on it until I'm done with at least the first draft of Revoltuion).
I want to re-do Cinderella in a rather...intersting light. "Evil" step-mom is in cahoots with the fairy god-mother to get Cinderella a happily-ever-after sort of thing. Of course, she'll still act evil, but that's all it will be: an act. Still trying to decide whose viewpoint I can make it from. I probably couldn't pull of the step-mom, so I'm debating between step-sister or Cinderella herself. Me being me, I'm leaning towards Cinderella, but it might be fun to do the step-sister just to challenge myself. Anyway, if it wasn't already halfway through November and I wasn't already drowning in work, I might consider doing it for NaNoWriMo. Maybe I'll make my own NaNo in December or January.
I've barely had any time to even work on my castle. Well, actually, the walls and roof of the castle are done and I did start on the plants. Then I got bored and decided to skip to the dragon and have barely had time to work on her (John, Rong, Jo and a few other decided my dragon was definitally female). You can kind of see the curve of her neck, but most of it is stuff I did today, since I finally decided that I needed quiet down-time. I've either been working or doing things like going to movies and watching football with large groups.
I feel like watching Firefly or Serenity and then going to bed. Maybe I will. I was up really late last night and then had to get up this morning for classes.
Well, signing off!

So, I've had this thing since January 2005. It'd be a pity to let it die now, a few months shy of four-years-old.
Anyway, not much going on in my life. Mostly school work. I did watch the football game today with a few friends (Packers won!!! They're now 5-5 and have the best record in their division [along with the Bears and Vikings...]). Also, Friday, I went with a huge group (more than half of them, I'd never met before) and saw the new 007 movie. It was better than Casino Royale but still not really worth the 10 bucks I forked over for it.
I'm about to go get myself some food. I really don't want to eat the school food, but I have basically no food (I'm going to buy groceries tomorrow) and I used up my Panera gift card yesterday for dinner.

So, my latest theory on the whereabouts of the Packers' brains: evil, mind-stealing aliens. Seriously. The Packers obviously don't have them; these last two weeks have been P.A.I.N.F.U.L. to watch. I mean, come on, the Deadskins beat the Cowboys today and you're telling me the Packers let them win by how many points last week? And Rogers threw 2 interceptions (that I saw, after a while, football became secondary and stabbing my cross stich primary). TWO! Before today, he'd had ZERO all season! And now the Packers are 2-2. Do you know how mediocre that is? Incredibly so! Thankfully, the other teams in the Packer's division are doing even worse.
Bears: 1-2
Vikings: 1-3
Lions: 0-3
Of course, this is assuming the Eagles suddenly score and don't let the Bears win. Becuase if the Eagles let the Bears win, then they'll be 2-2 also! Thank God the Eagles are in the red zone...

So, I'm finally content. Today has been bloody crazy! I got up, went to class, biked over to the dr for my shots (which usually happen on a friday, but they said something about it being closed this Friday, so I had to go today). When I got back, I had less than two hours to work on homework before I had to rush to a science lab that actually took up the entire time. Usually, we get out of there in an hour or an hour-fifteen, but today we were in there until almost three. Afterwords, I had to run to the grocery store because I need my yogurt and Died Pepsi. Since I also needed half a gallon of skim milk, I had an extremely heavy backpack on the way back. All this on less than five hours of sleep. By the time I had somewhat recovered from that, it was time to start on dinner.
There is just something so calming and cleansing about cooking. By the time I was done with the meatballs and spagetti sauce, I decided to make cookies. It's nice to sit down, knowing that the sauce and meatballs are simmering on the stove and oatmeal-butterscotch cookies are cooling on the pan. I'm in the best mood I've been in all day. That's why I was so happy to find out that I have a kitchen suite this year.

So, basically, the Packers won today. That's great news. The only tiny bit of bad news is that I had to do my laundry so I could wear my Packer shirt tomorrow. Can't wait till I get my new one. Should be in sometime this week...
So, in the Packer's division:
Packers 2-0
Bears 1-1
Lions 0-2
Vikings 0-2
Besides the Packers, only the Giants, Bills, Cardinals, Patriots (blegh) and Titans have 2 wins so far (might be more to come, though; Eagles, Cowboys, Falcons, Broncos, Ravens and Steelers all have no losses yet). Wow. Can't wait till that list thins out.
Which menas Favre lost today. I'm torn. Half of me wants to say "Boo-yah! You can't win even with the best quarterback in the league" and the other half wants to say "Favre lost!" Not that the Packers could always win with Brett...

Oh, save me. Save me, save me. I am having WAY too much fun window shopping for Packer things online. WAY too much fun. It's really scary. And I would have bought a Green Bay poster for my room, but the only one I could find of Rogers looked kinda scary. I'm also learning that team clothes are pretty reasonably priced, compared to other things. We're talking $400 for an office chair. But the next thing I buy is an Aaron Rogers Jersey.
Houston, we have a problem. Packer laptop skin for Dells. I've been meaning to buy a laptop skin for ages anyway...

AARON ROGERS WON!!!
Woot woot! Now I don't feel like a complete idiot for supporting him since Farve left. And to celebrate this victory at home over the Vikings, I bought myself a new Packer T-shirt *clap clap clap*. I'd looked at it before and well, let's face it, I wear the packer T I have a lot, so much that it's starting to get a bit discolored at the end of the sleeves. And it's a long-sleeved shirt. Not bad tomorrow when I'm going to be stuck in Gosnold all day, but what about next Monday after they beat Detriot? I don't want to be wearing a long-sleeved shirt next Monday. So I bought I cute short-sleeved short that says "I Love Packer Football".
Oh, and about 2 seconds before the 4th quarter interception, I said, "Interception, please." Guess I'm a phycic (I tried to spell it three times and got it wrong, so it's staying there). And now the Vikings have lost the last FIVE times they've played the Packers. I've got "Happy Music" going through my head like crazy right now.
So, in the Packer's Division:
Packers: 1-0
Vikings: 0-1
Lions: 0-1
Bears: 1-0
Blegh to the Bears. It's a bit early in the season to be keeping track of those with as many wins as the Packers, too, since about half the teams won this week.

So, patience pays off. I found the Packer/Titan game on TV. Granted, it's not actually on until 10:00 Saturday night and the game is Thursday at 7. So, I guess my will power will be exercised since it's no fun if I know who wins.
Another patience. I got another Star Wars song. Princess Leia's theme. Yay!
This evening, I sat down and thought of all the things I need to do tomorrow. I'm going to be hopping between my philosophy course and my physics lab. I have three hours...yeah. It'll probably take that, between dealing with financial aid and biking over to my new drug store to order some refils.
Oh, so this afternoon, I managed to improve my schedule. No more horrible ULLC (although I still have two physics lectures and a lab) but I did manage to get a Philosophy course AND an English course. I also have what will hopefully be the last math class of my college career. And my schedule is pretty sweet this semester, too. Mondays and Fridays, I only have Philosophy (at 9). Wednesdays, I have my Philosophy and my Physics lab (from 1:00-3:45 although I've heard science labs rarely run full time). Tuesdays and Thursdays are my busy days. I'm hopping from Math (at 8) to English (at 9:30) to one of my Physics lectures (at 11). Finally get a breather before my second Physics lecutre (I think it's the astronomy one at 4). Keep in mind that Tuesday/Thursday classes are an hour fifteen. Oh, and more than half my classes are in Gosnold. I don't think I'll ever be in the science building. So, since I'll finish up my Areas of Inquiry and another prerequisit (with the math) this schedule isn't changing anymore.

Gosh, everything seems to be happening at once.
First off, I was excited because tomorrow is the last-minute King's Dominion trip that actually turned out suprisingly large. Jeanie, Jal, Nwogu, Lauren, Sarah K., Jenika, two of Jeanie's friends and I are all going. Yay! So, I was excited about that. Then, getting ready (a.k.a. getting together CDs), I discovered the second thing to be excited about:
I now have disk 1 of The Music of Star Wars: 30th Anniversary Collector's Edition entirely downloaded thanks to Pepsi caps. Woot woot! I had six caps to put in today, which barely managed to get me the last two songs.
And then Mom came home and I discovered Excitement #3. I was telling her a package arrived for Dad. She asked who it was from, so I picked it up to read. StubHub. Without even telling her, I ripped it open and pulled out my birthday present (hey, it's less than two months early). So siked! I got my ticket!

Ain't they purty? So, of course, I took a few shots (it took a while for me to get the lighting right; when I had my flash on, there was a glare), saved two, edited one and e-mailed it to Dad. I also cleaned out my camera for tomorrow (excluding one of the ticket pictures; I want to be able to show it to my friends who, frankly, don't care at all about football).

It's official! We have the tickets and everything! I'm going to see Green Bay beat the Titans November 2!!!
Yep. It finally feels real. We have the tickets and everything.
So, now, I just need to make an awesome sign. Should it be "Aaron, please win for my birthday" or "Aaron, I wanted to see you for my birthday present"? *squeal*
Right now, I really miss my Daddy. I would call and squeal to him, but I have no idea what time it is in Korea. And I can't wait for him to come home and then run up to him all excited...*tear*

So, can anyone tell me why the Packer recievers can't catch and they're defense isn't worth $0.50?...Thus starts what was supposed to be a rant against the ineptitude of the Packers when playing their first game of the season against the Bengals (whoever they are). But then, #10 actually threw a ball #28 was able to catch and run in for a touchdown. So, with the extra point, now they're only 3 points behind and most of the wind is out of my "Let's get it together" sails.
But Aaron Rogers did pretty well. It was mostly the recievers who were messing up at the beginning. And, of course, the Packer's first touchdown (and the first score of the game), the reciever lost his helmet. When the Bengals got the next touchdown, the reciever lost his helmet, too.
As far as the rookie quarterbacks the Packer's have for their second and third string, #11 (second string) isn't bad, but #10 is driving me nuts. It can't be the recievers' fault when there are that many incompletes in a row.
Whatever is going on with the Packers, I hope they get it together before the Titans game November 2. Because, guess what, suckas! I'm going to the football game! And I'm already trying to figure out exactly what words to use and how to design my poster. I'm thinking something along the lines of "Aaron, please win for my birthday" or "Aaron, watching you is my birthday gift." Becuase, guess what. I'm a Packer fan and I'm loyal to the team, not that idiot Brett Farve. Dude, I thought football died when he left, but after making such a pain of himself, I'm glad he's not on the Packer's anymore. Not that I'm not still half-rooting for him, but Aaron Rogers is my new football hero (until he completely messes up several games in a row). And I'm hoping to have a Roger's jersey before the game!
So, the Packer's have less than two minutes to get almost 90 yards down the field to win the game...nevermind. The Bengals just got a fumble with less than a minute left. The game's over. I'm tired and sad. I want the amazing season they had last year again...

You know you're a loser when...
You lose your phone for three days and when you finally find it and charge it, the only missed call is from home and the only voice mail is your mom.
On that positive note...
I had a thought today on my way home after my first set of allergy shots (F.Y.I., apparently, I have so many allergies, I have to have two shots every time!), I had a thought. A phobia is an unexplainable, illogical fear. So, how do needle-phobs (like me) even exist? Fear of needles and shots seems like a perfectly logical thing...

- Song Stuck in my Head:Star Wars Soundtrack: A New Hope
So, about a week ago, I did something to my knee. Whatever I did, it only seems to get worse with time (although that hour I spent on D.D.R. the other night certainly didn't help). Then, yesterday, I fell out of the rolley chair at work...TWICE! I thought I was trying to kill myself, especially when I pulled a muscle in my inner thigh during the second spill and discovered a stiff shoulder when I was change. Then, after watching Journey to the Center of the Earth with Jake and Lauren, I was sure it was sub-councious suicide attempts. I ran into a wall...again. But it was worse than usual and I have a rather large, triagle/arrow shaped bruise to prove it.
The other day, as I was sitting on my porch, I thought I heard tiny voices coming out from under my feet. I quickly got up and peeked through the boards. Under the steps, where the Demon Cat draggs her headless victims, was a meeting of the ghosts of the vermin killed by that cat.
"Dearly beheaded, we are gathered here today to remember with fear and trepidation that giant beast of fur, claws and teeth that mercilessly ate off our heads and disposed of our remains where none could get at them. Just this morning, that fear of all good rhodents added another member to our number who simply wanted food for his twelve young children. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you Jacob, the vole..."
Already disgusted by the headless animals the cat tried to drag in, I left at that point. I didn't need to know what they did after they were dead; the fact that they were dead and hanging from the Demon Cat's mouth (HEADLESS!) was enough to have me gagging.
